1. What was your notion on organ donation before reading this article?

Well, I didn’t believe in this kind of myths and I am aware of the importance of organ donation. Actually, the article has served me to reaffirm my position to this and to share this again to my friends and family: I would like to donate my organs when I will pass away (not my body to scientific studies).

2. What is your opinion about organ donation?
I really in favour of organ donation, I thing is a gift for a lot of people that really need them, you can help a lot of people to live, so also is a gift for yourself. It’s a win win situation. And I think the regulation should change in order to consider every body as potential organ donor, so if you don’t want to donate you should register (Should be accepted by default).

3. Would you consider organ donation?
Yes, as I said before, I will donate my organ to people that really need them.

1. What was your notion on organ donation before reading this article?
Before I read this article, I was aware of organ donation, of course I’m a nurse and I guess it’s normal that I’m well aware of it. But I also live in Spain, the leading transplant country all over the world as well as the second in terms of donors. Hospitals have a Transplant Unit, that it’s contacted when a patient dies, they talk to the relatives, they explain everything, they support and comfort the family, but their main objective is to safe as many lives as possible.
2. What is your opinion about organ donation? Sometimes a transplant is the only option to save a life, so let’s do it, let’s donate, once we are dead, organs are useless to us. Let’s give another chance to anybody, in fact it could be me, one of my family members, a friend … I think that we are really fortunate to have transplant as another treatment option, mainly in countries like Spain where everybody has access to it and free of charge (well, we have already paid it with the taxes).
3. Would you consider organ donation? I’m a donor myself.

I am interesting in this topic so I have already been reading about it. Therefore, there are a lot of things I know such as: the doctors try to saving your life even if you are a donor, they certify 100% sure your death, if you are not 18 your family has to sign your papers.. but I don’t know that there no limits of age to be a donor and also that suffering one disease is not an exclusion criteria.
My opinion about being an organ donor is that everyone should consider it, because is we were in the situation of needing a transplant, we would all like to have donors. Our organs, our body can be still useful when we are death so, why can’t we help someone? I understand that in some case religion is an obstacle but I think that we have to be practical too speaking about health and life expectancy.
It could be great if people would be able to decide what organs they want to donate; it would be probably give more tranquility.
I consider the organ donation and I hope to be a donor in the near future.

Many thanks for always finding the time to write your answers down. Keep up the good job.

Here is a better way to express this thought: they certify 100% sure your death

they certify that you are really dead
