Wh – questions<\/strong> start with who<\/strong>, what<\/strong>, when<\/strong>, where<\/strong> and why<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The answers to these questions are not just a simple yes or no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asking wh- questions<\/strong> in the past tense<\/strong>, you need to add the word “did<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sentence Structure: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wh<\/strong> +<\/td>did<\/strong> +<\/td>Subject<\/strong> +<\/td>Base Form of<\/strong>the Verb<\/strong> +<\/td>rest of the sentence<\/strong>?<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We can also use the verb “to be<\/strong>” when asking wh- questions<\/strong> in the past tense.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
