It is recommended to position the adverb <strong>as close as possible<\/strong> to the words they intend to modify. Not doing so can result in an awkward sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adverbs can be placed in <strong>three positions<\/strong> when used to <strong>modify a verb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Place the adverb <strong>before the subject<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Gently<\/strong>, <em>Alicia<\/em> laid her baby on the bed.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Carefully<\/strong>, <em>Allan <\/em>unwrapped his present.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2<\/strong>.
