En este art\u00edculo te explicaremos cada uno de los t\u00e9rminos adem\u00e1s de darte ejemplos que te ayudar\u00e1n a usarlos correctamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Estos dos verbos: l<em>end <\/em>y<em> borrow<\/em> en ingl\u00e9s, son una fuente de problemas para muchos estudiantes de ingl\u00e9s. \u00bfLa raz\u00f3n? <strong>tienen pr\u00e1cticamente el mismo significado<\/strong>, pero la acci\u00f3n de cada palabra va en diferentes direcciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Borrow <\/em><\/strong>significa tomar algo de otra persona, sabiendo que se lo devolver\u00e1s, es decir, tomar prestado algo.<\/li><li><strong><em>Lend<\/em><\/strong> es la acci\u00f3n de prestar, significa dar algo a otra persona esperando recuperarlo.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Debes observar que las preposiciones que suelen seguir a los verbos son diferentes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>We<\/em><strong><em> borrow from<\/em><\/strong><em> someone.<\/em> \/ Pedimos prestado a alguien<\/li><li><em>We <\/em><strong><em>lend to<\/em><\/strong><em> someone.<\/em> \/ Le prestamos a alguien.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahora que ya tienes una idea de la diferencia entre<em> Lend y Borrow<\/em> en ingl\u00e9s, veamos cada uno de ellos por separado.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lend-en-ingl-s\"><strong><em>Lend <\/em><\/strong><strong>en ingl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Lend <\/em>en ingl\u00e9s como hemos mencionado anteriormente significa &#8220;dar algo a alguien por un corto tiempo, esperando que lo devuelvan&#8221;. El pasado de <em>lend<\/em> es<em> lent<\/em>, veamos algunos ejemplos:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>I never <\/em><strong><em>lend<\/em><\/strong><em> my books to anyone. <\/em>\/ Nunca presto mis libros a nadie.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>I <\/em><strong><em>lent<\/em><\/strong><em> Susy $100 yesterday. (I expect that Susy will return this to me).<\/em> \/ Ayer le prest\u00e9 100$ a Susy. (Espero que Susy me devuelva esto).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>My grandmother is <\/em><strong><em>lending<\/em><\/strong><em> me her earrings for the wedding. <\/em>\/ Mi abuela me est\u00e1 prestando sus aretes para la boda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>You still own me the $100 I <\/em><strong><em>lent<\/em><\/strong><em> you yesterday.<\/em> \/ A\u00fan me debes los 100$ que te prest\u00e9 ayer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Would you <\/em><strong><em>lend<\/em><\/strong><em> me your calculator, please? <\/em>\/ \u00bfMe prestas tu calculadora, por favor?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>I brought the $100 you <\/em><strong><em>lent <\/em><\/strong><em>me yesterday. <\/em>\/ Traje los 100$ que me prestaste ayer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>I will<\/em><strong><em> lend<\/em><\/strong><em> you some money to buy your ticket, but I&#8217;ll need it back tomorrow<\/em>. \/ Te prestar\u00e9 algo de dinero para comprar tu ticket, pero lo necesitar\u00e9 ma\u00f1ana.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u200b\u200bClaire has <\/em><strong><em>lent<\/em><\/strong><em> many of her jackets to her sisters. <\/em>\/ Claire ha prestado muchas de sus chaquetas a sus hermanas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u200b\u200bWhy did you <\/em><strong><em>lend<\/em><\/strong><em> that to him? Nunca devuelve nada.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Como podr\u00e1s ver en los ejemplos anteriores, <em>lend <\/em>es dar algo a alguien o permitir que use algo que te pertenece, que luego te tiene que devolver.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Borrow <\/em><\/strong><strong>en ingl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A diferencia de l<em>end,<\/em> <em>borrow<\/em> en ingl\u00e9s significa tomar y usar algo que pertenece a otra persona por un per\u00edodo de tiempo y luego devolverlo. El pasado de <em>borrow<\/em> es<em> borrowed. <\/em>Te dejamos algunos ejemplos:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Could I <\/em><strong><em>borrow<\/em><\/strong><em> your pen for a minute, please?<\/em> \/ \u00bfMe prestas tu boli un minuto, por favor?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>I <\/em><strong><em>borrowed<\/em><\/strong><em> her jacket because I forgot mine\u2014I&#8217;ll return it to her tomorrow. <\/em>\/ Tom\u00e9 prestada su chaqueta porque olvid\u00e9 la m\u00eda, se la devolver\u00e9 ma\u00f1ana.&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Mark used to<\/em><strong><em> borrow<\/em><\/strong><em> money from me all the time.<\/em> \/ Mark sol\u00eda pedirme dinero prestado todo el tiempo.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Sorry, Tina!
