A suffix<\/strong> is one or more letters added at the end of a base word<\/strong> to make a new word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new word formed usually becomes a different word class from the original base word. For example, with the use of a suffix, a verb can be changed<\/strong> to an adjective<\/strong> or a noun<\/strong>. Similarly, an adjective<\/strong> or a noun<\/strong> can be changed<\/strong> to an adverb<\/strong> by the use of a suffix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
