(What kind of car? Answer: a fast car.)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Have the same form in both plural and singular number<br \/>\nExample: She has three lovely cats.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Often comes before nouns and after &#8220;be&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Example:<br \/>\nHe is a powerful CEO.<br \/>\nI hope to be a famous pharmacist.<\/p>\n<p>Adjectives like nice\/bad\/good are <strong>OPINION<\/strong> adjectives. They tell us what somebody thinks of someone or something.<\/p>\n<p>Example: The company\u2019s choice to diversify during these times is a bad one.<\/p>\n<p>Adjectives like new\/golden\/round are <strong>FACT<\/strong> adjectives. They give us factual information about age, size,color, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Example: We prefer the new advertisement over the old one.<br \/>\nOpinion adjectives come before fact adjectives.<\/p>\n<p>Example: Did you have a nice, long holiday?<\/p>\n<p>At time, we use several fact adjectives to describe someone or something. We follow this order.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Determiner &#8211; Quantity\/Number &#8211; Size &#8211; Age &#8211; Shape &#8211; Color &#8211; Origin\/Proper Adjective &#8211; Material\/Purpose &#8211; NOUN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Sham bought <strong>a large, old, round, red, Chinese, wooden drawer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There is <strong>a disgusting red metal crab ornament<\/strong> in their front yard.<\/p>\n<p>We took a ride on <strong>an ancient, red Californian tram<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Exemptions:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adjectives of size and length usually come before adjectives of shape and width.<\/p>\n<p>Example: She is a tall, thin girl.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 When there are two or more adjectives from the same group, we use &#8220;and&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<p>She wore a yellow, red, and black gown for the product launch.<\/p>\n<p>The shop sells old and new things.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We use adjectives with the verbs be\/get\/become\/seem.<br \/>\nExample: I am tired and I\u2019m getting sleepy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We also use adjectives to say how somebody or something looks, feels, tastes, smells, and sounds:<\/p>\n<p>Example: That was an interesting presentation.<br \/>\nI am interested in your new product.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ADJECTIVES \u2022 Describe nouns Example: That car is fast.
