However, it is not a vital part or sign of the infinitive. A bare infinitive does not use <em><strong>to<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2>USES:<\/h2>\n<p>1. After the following verbs:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>bid, let, make, see, hear, need, dare, help, feel, notice, watch<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Correct: He <em><strong>bade<\/strong><\/em> his companions <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>enter<\/em><\/span>.<br \/>\nWrong: He bade his companions to enter.<\/p>\n<p>Correct: <em><strong>Let<\/strong> <\/em>them <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">stay<\/span><\/em> here.<br \/>\nWrong: Let them to stay here.<\/p>\n<p>Correct: He <em><strong>made<\/strong><\/em> her <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">suffer<\/span><\/em>.<br \/>\nWrong: He made her to suffer.<\/p>\n<p>Correct: I <em><strong>heard<\/strong><\/em> her <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">tell<\/span><\/em> a lie.<br \/>\nWrong: I heard her to tell a lie.<\/p>\n<p>2. After modal verbs:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>will, would, shall, should, may, might, can, could and must<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Correct: They <em><strong>will<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">wait<\/span><\/em>.<br \/>\nWrong: They will to wait.<\/p>\n<p>Correct: She <em><strong>must<\/strong><\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>obey<\/em><\/span> her parents&#8217; rules.<br \/>\nWrong: She must to obey her parents&#8217; rules.<\/p>\n<p>Correct: Her daughter <em><strong>can<\/strong><\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>speak<\/em><\/span> five languages.<br \/>\nWrong: Her daughter can to speak five languages.<\/p>\n<p>Correct: You <em><strong>should<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">come<\/span><\/em> to the party tonight.<br \/>\nWrong: You should to come to the party tonight.<\/p>\n<p>3.
