Why can’t we stop eating certain foods?

Many people struggle to stop eating certain foods due to the addictive nature of highly processed foods, which often contain high levels of sugar and unhealthy fats. These foods can trigger hormonal responses in the brain that make them difficult to resist, leading to cravings and overeating.

The combination of these factors creates a complex web of influences that makes it challenging for individuals to stop eating certain foods, particularly those that are ultra-processed. Addressing these issues requires a multifaceted approach, including changes in food policy, education, and personal awareness.
