In competitions, there is only one winner. But at the Olympiad 2020, that one gold medal went to two competing countries India and Russia. The chess match was done online due to Covid-19 but India had internet problems.

1. What is your opinion on giving the gold medal to both India and Russia?
I think it was a accurate decision because without internet connection it couldn’t to end the competition and it’s not be possible to know the winner. It was an extraordinaire initiative for a extraordinaire issue.
2. Was it acceptable to share the medal due to internet problems from India’s end? Why or why not?
I don’t know if it would be possible postponement that maybe it might be the best solution, but if the officials made the decision on giving the gold medal to both we have to believe that it was the fair determination.
3. Have you ever heard of a similar story? Tell us about it.
No, throughout my life I have never heard or seen such a resolution.
4. Do you know how to play chess? How and when did you learn to play it? What can you say about this game/sport?
Yes, I do. I learned to play chess when I was a child in the school. I liked to play chess in those days, even I took part in some championships but I never achieved some medal.
In my opinion, chess is a game who need a lot of mental concentration and it´s a great exercise for the mind.
5. Is there a Spanish game similar to chess? Talk about it.
In Spain is very popular the chess and it have a Spanish Chess Federation, and it is very usual to play chess. In my region, there is a regional federation too and every year there are several international championships with international players, masters and amateurs.
