I think it’s interesting all the parties we have and also that so much of the population is considered religious when I don’t think it’s a real figure.

In Spain it is common to baptize children at a very early age (before their first birthday) and when doing so they are already registered as Catholics, but then in adulthood more than half of the children who are baptized they consider themselves agnostic or non-practicing

I don’t like the tradition of bullfighting, I think it is outrageous that animals are tortured for the enjoyment of people and that it should be prohibited in all of Spain (in some communities it is already illegal and bullfights are not celebrated)

I think that the opinion is widespread that we Spaniards are lazy, especially for taking a nap. Actually, in Spain, taking a “siesta” is not so common throughout the year, but it is in summer. We can’t be blamed for being tired after eating when it’s over 40 degrees outside

It’s good to see you return to practicing your writing skills! Keep being persistent.

Here is one sentence you can revise with better structure:

I think that the opinion is widespread that we Spaniards are lazy, especially for taking a nap.

I think that the opinion that we Spaniards are lazy, especially, that we are known for always taking naps is widespread.

Practice more to improve more.

Odd things about Spain culture

One of the best things about studing a foreigh language is that you learn more about your native tongue and also from your country’ culture.

Two classes ago I discovered some funny customs about my country. One of them was the so called party “el colacho” where people jump over new born babies in a village from the east of Spain.

In my opinion the funniest custom of Spanish culture is “la fiesta” or bullfighing. It is very difficult to understand if you are a foreigher but some get catched by like Ernest Hemingway.

It is the difference what more appeals to people and differences may turn from funny “haha” to simple “funny”.

First of all, I have found very interesting this article because I have learnt new things about my own culture as for example that nudity is legal in Spain.
Regarding the first question, What I found the most relevant about my culture is the mix of a wide range of traditions in such a small earth extension like Spain¡¡. For instance, traditions from the North of Spain have nothing to do from the South.
About the second question, I found very disgusting most of the traditions where animals are the main character. From my point of view, in most of the cases, animals are treated like a toy. Of course, there are some sadly well-known fiestas like San Fermines or Bullfighting where animals are killed at the end of a long process of torment. I strongly believe that Government should forbid this “Fiestas”.
Lastly, Spaniards outside our border are identified with laziness and lack of punctuality but, I don’t feel that was something real, unless in the big cities where people are always running from one place to another.
