They started because almost a 70% of women in Japan have to wear high heels at least once a week, and this have bad consequences as: sore feet, back pain and other health problems. So one Japanese actress decided to move, to start a complain movement against this situation, to avoid this healthy issues that wearing high heels is provoking.

In my opinion, it is a chauvinist tradition, making the female image as an object to watch. These high heels make an stylized view of the women, like nicer to the men. Horrible, only thinking on this it makes me feel nausea.

If a woman feel that she wants to wear this is perfect, but it must not be a requirement, and even less if you have some healthy impediments to wear them. It must be a choice, sometimes I feel confortable to wear them, I feel that I need to put them, some clothes “require” these high heels, but as I said, it is a choice.

Of course, in my actual job we have to wear a dress code, with the one I don’t feel comfortable at all. When I started I had to shop a lot of clothes that I usually don’t wear, because we have to transmit this “smart or polite” image. The only thing I am thinking when I am finishing my journey, is to come back home and change my clothes and shoes. But I like the job, so you have to balance.
