Travel has drastically changed around the world during the Covid-19 pandemic. As borders reopened and barriers lifted, people feel the need to go on a getaway. While the pandemic still exists, there is so much uncertainty, leaving us with no clear-cut answer to our questions on traveling and safety.

1.- What things do you need to consider if you plan to travel these days?

The first thing we need to know is where we want to go. Is it safe? Or isn’t the pandemic under control there? Once found out this question, we can decide how to get there: By car, by plane,…

2.- Do you think it is worthwhile to book a trip now or is it better to wait a little longer before doing so?

We think is better to wait a little longer before travelling.

3.- Have you planned your summer vacation? If so, where and why have you picked out this travel destination?

Based on my last answer, we’ll stay at home in our summer vacation and maybe we´ll leave to go for a day on the beach or to have lunch in the mountain. But always close to home.

4.- What are your safety precautionary measures when you travel in the midst of Covid-19?

I haven’t travelled during Covid-19. All my work trips were put off until at least the end of September. But if I had to travel, I’d follow the international recommendations for travellers (perform hand hygiene frequently, wearing a face mask, avoid to contact many people,…)

5.- What kind of places do you think are safe to travel to nowadays?

It’s pretty tricky to decide where to travel. Whether summer travel is safe or even feasible depends on a variety of factors: location, length of trip, transportation methods, and the number of people you encounter and are with during your vacation.
