The UK has had more and more problems with obesity in the past few years. The government needs to a find solution to end this national health issue. A way that they have thought of is to tax foods that are sugary and salty. The media calls it the ‘snack tax’.

1.- I totally agree with this measure because is a way of increasing public budget, while preventing people from following unhealthy routines

2.- I would feel right since I rarely eat this kind of “food” so it will not have a real impact on my personal economy. Moreover the public system of my country will have an extra income to be invested in social policies.

3.- A good way of promoting healthy diets could be receiving a good example to follow from politicians or from social media campaigns

4.- We should support small local producers rather than multinationals and promote real food diets instead of overprocessed products

5.- There are two main ways, a healthy diet and exercise. The former, avoiding junk food, increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables, and also reducing the meat consumption. The latter, not only will mean a way to fight obesity, but also an opportunity to socialize.

1. I think that “tax on snacks” is not a good idea because it could increase the taxes in that country, so all people would have to pay a lot of money, even if they use the junk food in the correct way, I mean, once a week, for example. Thus, this idea is unfair to all people.
2. I would feel wrong because i think it´s unfair because in my case, I only eat junk food sometime because I have a control with myself, so when i want to eat funk food I would like to pay the same as always, no a higher price.
3. I think that goverment and institutions could make talks and conferences to warn people of the damage of eating badly. Also, they could foster free sports events to promote a healthy life. Another point is to reduce the price of the gym so everyone could go to them and make them a public space.
4. Since they are children, shool should give tlaks with nutricionists to teach them the importance of eating well.
