Since 2014 things have been getting worse. If in 2014 the public debt was 100% of GDP, in 2022 represents 117% of GDP and rising. In the rest of the main economic indicators, Spain is objectively worse than during the last 20 years.
I don’t consider emigrating, but Portugal would be a good candidate. It has better tax conditions, and people, weather or culture is very similar to Spain.
Yes, most of them from Latin America, especially Argentina and Peru.

I think nowadays the situation has changed, neither the situation in Spain nor in Latin America is a good one.
What I see the most at least where I live (Barcelona area) is people setting their eyes in Europe, mainly France, England, Scotland and Germany. Some jobs are really better paid there than here. I’ve got a couple of friends who work in France and they can come often to see their family and friends. Distance is another reason to choose Europe instead of Latin America.
Good to hear from you again. Thanks for taking the time in answering the discussion questions on this lesson.
Be a bit careful with your word order in this sentence:
The current situation is different. Latinamerican salaries are minor than european ones. There are less opprotunities to develope a career in Latinamerica than in Europe.
I had immigrated twice. The first one was from Venezuela to Mexico and the second one from Mexico to Spain. Now, I´m thinking to immigrate again if I don´t find a new job in Spain.
I would move to an european country. I would not return to Latinamerica, because there the life is caothic, unsafety and there are a lot of corruption.
All of my venezuelan friends are spreaded around the world, most of them in sudamerica.
All the best in your quest for a new job opportunity – wherever it may be. Cheers!
