Leg lengthening surgery is an invasive and costly medical procedure that has become more popular in the recent years. A less advanced leg-lengthening device was first invented by an orthopedic surgeon in Russia in the 1950’s for injured soldier. Nowadays, this surgery is done mostly for aesthetic purposes.

1- To get a post is to get a job. For example: “She is studying mathematics. She wants to get a post at the ESA”
2- A counterpart is a person that shares some characteristics with somebody else, like their job (as the case of this article). An example could be: “I have to coordinate this project with my counterpart at the blue team”.
3- At ground level means at the starting levels. An example could be: “An academy career is extremely competitive, especially at ground level”.
