1. Are you interested in the concept of Au Pair? Why or why not?
Not at all, not with my age. I think it could be interesting for young people but only under a reliable company that can looking for this kind of job and have experience in this working area.
2. How do you feel about the idea of leaving behind a traditional 9-to-5 job to become an au pair?
I think that it will be a wrong decision if you think au pair is the best job in the word, is not like the article say, not at all (it’s a sugarcoat article). If you want to try like au pair, it is very important to find this kind of job in a reliable Company with a lot of experience in the area. Some of these jobs posting of au pair are in fact scams, in other occasion they have to work long hours in a kind of slavery conditions, etc… so it is very important to be careful about that.
3. Among the ten reasons to become an au pair, which one resonates with you the most? Why?
Maybe to travel abroad, because I am not sure you’re going to learn other languages if you have to take care of babies from dawn to dusk.
4. Do you have any fascinating stories about cultural exchanges during your travels?
Well travel is very interesting in other to understand different cultures, mindsets, point of views, religions, etc… I have not very fascinating stories because as a tourist is difficult… I suppose that if you live in other country during a long period of time will be another thing.
5. If you could add one more reason to the list, what would it be, and why?
For me, there are too many reasons in the list… I can’t add any one more…
