1.- “to leave a bad taste in the mouth of someone” means that it is something annoying.
A Synonyms are:
“To leave a sour impression on someone”
“To leave a bitter taste in someone’s mouth”
The last goal conceded by Real Madrid leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the supportes after winning 3-1

2.- “Foot traffic” refers to the rise of people going to the restaurant in the case of the complete sentence.
