To put in practice. It means that everybody should do it. I like to go to the gym to cultivate my muscles and to be on fit.

To keep the interest in the same point to get that we can do something.
When I watch a football match of my team, though we go losing I keep the fire burning until the time is over, because I know that we can go up.
