Nestlé is one of the biggest food companies in the world. One of their products is ice cream. However, it has not been successful in the US so they decided to sell the business to another company.

1. What do you know about the companies Nestlé and Foneri?
I didn’t know anything about Foneri Company before reading the text, and after this, I have been able to know that is one of the most important companies ice- cream producers in the world. About Nestle Company, I knew a lot of things, such as being a producer of ice creams, milk, coffee, chocolate, and biscuits.
2. Are you a fan of ice cream? What is/are your favorite flavor/s?
Yes, I’m a fan of ice cream and other kinds of sweet food like chocolate cakes and lemon cakes or sweets. When I go to an ice cream bar or terrace, I usually take a stratacinella with vanilla ice cream, or nut with canella is another of my favorites.
3. How popular is ice cream in your country? What are other popular desserts there?
Sincerely, since I was a child I have been able to see that all people around my town, In Barcelona city, and In Spain, my country, love ice cream. Obviously, is more common in spring and summer than in the winter season. It is very frequent that friends and family over here go out to take something on the terraces and ice cream is one of the favorite choices for the Spanish people.
4. Is the ice cream business doing well in your country? Why or why not?
Well, I think there is a business that works very well in general, specifically in coastal areas in the summer season where people who have business in these areas takes so much profit during this season. However I have been able to see other ice cream businesses in other areas where the business doesn’t work as well as in other areas as I said before.
5. What is your opinion on Nestle’s decision to sell their ice cream business to another company?
I think Nestle made a good decision selling their ice cream business in the US to another company because last years their sellings were decreasing and sold their ice cream business to Foreni, to revitalize the ice cream sector, is a fantastic idea because Foreni will be able to manage very well the production and selling the ice cream in the US.

However, I don’t know about Foneri. I am knowing this company with this article. I was amazed, when I read that this company is one of the largest companies in the world.

No, I am not fan of ice cream. I like ice cream but if I don’t eat, I don’t miss it. However, my son love the ice cream and if we go to anywhere, we always eat ice cream.

Ice cream in my country is very popular. People eat ice cream any time of the year. In Spain there are very popular desserts and each region has its own dessert. I like a lot two desserts mainly: manolito and tarta de Santiago. For me these desserts are delicious.
Is the ice cream business doing well in your country? Why or why not?
Yes, it is. Ice cream business doing well in my country in each place there is ice cream business. Each malls have about four ice cream business.
What is your opinion on Nestle’s decision to sell their ice cream business to another company?
It’s ok, this is their strategic. It’s very important that the quality of the ice cream don’t drop and the company should follow a quality objetive with their products and rentability.
