In Japan, there is a specific term for death by overwork, which is “karoshi”. However, this phenomenon is not only exclusive in Japan. It happens all over the world. In fact, a WHO study revealed that 750,000 people die prematurely due to overwork.

There are lots of dangers of overworking like stress or big problems like stroke or heart disease. I use to spend 8 hours working, but, fortunately, I take several gaps in my dayjob to rest, just a cuple of minutes, making something diferent. This practice is a god way for my mental health.
Sometimes I have to make some extra hours at work, but it’s not usual.
In Spain we don’t have a special policies to prevent workers from overworking, but The stress problems starts to be a problem, then the gov have to make something.

In my experience, in the pademic time, I was making fewer hours because i reduced my journey.
