1. Was any information mentioned in the video shocking for you? Explain.
I didn´t know that it was possible to have removed half of your brain and keep doing normal life. Even though in that case people lose eyesight and mobility in the opposite hand, I think it´s an acceptable downside for such a surgery.
2. What is your attitude to the “brain dominance” tests after having discovered this new theory? Will you rely on them?
After watching this video I´ll never rely on those tests. It shows that there isn´t a brain dominance, both sides of the brain work together and they are interconnected, helping each other to find the best result in our thinking process or tasks we develop.
3. Do you believe that people will one day learn all the secrets of how the brain functions?
I don´t think so. Our brains are extremely complex and there are a lot of unanswered questions about how they work. I guess we´ll keep learning about it for a long time.
4. What is one proof that the left- and right-brained thinking theory is false based on the video? What are your thoughts on this?
One proof is that most processes are found in both sides. For example, the left brain will handle with a mathematical equation, but the right brain will deal a comparison or an estimate, and both are part of mathematics, so in fact the two parts work together.
5. Are you left- or right-brained? What are your qualities that make you as such?
I think that I´m left-brained. I´ve always preferred numbers and logical thinking, I feel more comfortable in that field. I´m not a creative and sensitive person. I would like to carry out better in artistic tasks, but I assume that it´s not my strongest point.
