1. Slow living is a tendency born in 2004, after the publication of a book related to this one. This concept has become more and more popular, mainly during the pandemic. It looks for the well-being of each one by reducing their busy lives and devoting more to themselves. It gives more importance to the quality of the things rather than quantity. On doing the things in another pace, people will need to prioritise the tasks, since it’s for sure, that there will not be enough time to do everything, on the other hand, the people will enjoy what they are doing.
2. The article states some benefits about this new lifestyle. The people will have more available time for themselves if they dismiss all the distractions. If the person has more time, the stress will be reduced and, therefore he/she will be able to live every moment with themselves and also, all of their loved ones. The slow living makes the person be more in contact with the nature and hence, their lives will be healthier.
3. I can not share any experience from myself because my way of being is completely contrary to this one. It does not mean that I do not agree with it but, in my case, it isn’t only to decide the change but also something else needs to happen which can oblige me to re-schedule all my life. The pandemic or even, losing my job was not enough causes to go ahead with the change.
4. This concept can be misunderstood by some people, since they can think that it is opposed to the productivity or the use of technology. The tasks will go on carrying out but the non-important ones will be removed from the list of priorities. The technology will be used if necessary. Also, it can be thought that this tendency is just applicable tp people living in the country. The reality is that it can be used to anyone no matter where they are. Finally, this change cannot be done overnight, it requires a time to adapt our mind to it.
