Discussion Questions:
1. When and why was the detention camp established?
The Guantanamo Camp, is a USA maximum-security military prison in Cuba, that after the 11-sep-2001 terrorist attack in the USA, was establish and used like a Camp of terrorist’s detection. It supposes that because this Camp is out of the USA Territory doesn’t’ applied the same laws that in the USA territory.
2. What is your opinion on Guantanamo Bay’s human rights violations?
It’s understandable that after the 11th-sept terrorist attacks all the American society was in shock and in pain, but even in these terrible moments it is very important to comply with the law and respect the human rights. If you don’t do so, maybe you are blaming innocent people of crime that they didn’t commit.
3. What are your thoughts about detainees being cleared for release and do you think it is an “embarrassment to the US”? Share your opinion.
Of course, is a shame for the USA, keep during a long time a lot of people in horrendous conditions without a fair trial and without prove their culpability. The USA is supposed to be the land of freedom and for the respect of the human rights.
4. How does your government treat people arrested on suspicions of terrorism?
We are in a democracy; we are also in the European Union (E.U.) and we should comply with the law. Terrorist people have the right to a fair trial, and unless you prove they are guilty, they should be considered innocent, of course you can arrest them and put in them in jail until the trial, if the facts that are going to be judge are important enough.

5. What is the maximum period of detention for people held without charges in your country? Do you think it is a reasonable period of time?
I google it and it is 72hour, I think is a reasonable period of time to gather evidences and charge suspects.
