It is commonly stated that men are more likely to die faster than women. However, there are a fair few scenarios where the opposite is true. Filmmaker Eve Van Dyke discovered this on a trip in November 2024 that resulted in her automobile crashing. She noticed that the women sustained worse injuries than the men in the crash. As it happens, that wasn’t merely a coincidence. In the US, women are 17% more likely than men to die in car accidents and 73% more likely to suffer serious injuries.
