A small town in New Zealand is offering a good amount of money to any doctor who would like to serve its residents. The search has been going on for quite some time but has been unsuccessful.

1-I think that it is dificult because the job is in a countryside. In general, the people prefer to work in a big city.
2-In the countryside the quality of live is better than a big city. Also, there is not pollution and there is less noise.But, it is more dificult to find job,shops.etc, and the people can not do social life.
3-Yes, I like to live in a town. infact, al the moneti I live in a town of 7000 inhabitant, it is located 50km from the capilal.
1. Why do you think it is so difficult to find someone for the job mentioned in the article?
I think it is so difficult to find someone for this job in this specific place, because people, in general, don’t like living in rural areas far away from the city center. Although the job conditions are fantàstic, the salary, free time, only 4 work days per week, and 12 holiday weeks per year, people are reluctant in view of the idea to live in a rural area.
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in rural areas?
I believe that the main advantages of living in rural areas are the environment, plenty of nature, the views, relaxation, and the calm that you breathe wherever you are.
However, living in rural areas has disadvantages too, such as people who live there, need to travel a lot of km by car or train to get to the city center or the main cities. Maybe they won’t be able to buy some things in the rural towns and will have to go to the cities to buy. Problems with the internet or the main ways of network systems of communication.
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in the city?
I think the advantages of living in the city could be transport to travel from one point to another point, such as train, metro or bus. I mean, a good system of communication to travel or to commute.
Great ways of the network systems of communication and the internet, always are faster than in towns or rural areas. And people can buy all things that they want, such as food, furniture, devices, cars, etc.
Whereas, the main disadvantages are polluted air by cars, a lot of problems in the main cities and the city center of traffic jam. People travel with a lot of stress. It’s difficult to find a place to stay calm and relaxed.

I have read in other posts than the problem may be because there are few doctors in New Zealand and young doctors prefer to live in cities.

And the disadvantages are that you have access to fewer products and services, you have to use the car more because the distances are greater and you usually have to work more at home.

1.- I think it is so difficult because the doctor feels alone and he couldn’t share the patient’s problems with other doctor. And more it is possible than it should be difficult to do any test or other invetigation
2.- Living in rural areas is good and healthy. You can breath clean air, eat a nearest foods, see the nature’s changes, and life a quiet life .
For the contrary there are a lot of things are difficult or you can not get. For exemple to have an near hospital, school, university, theater, cinema or great shops. Althougt today the most of things improve with internet options.
