1. Are you the type of person who is active during the day or at night? Why?
I am active during the day because of my job I have to wake up early and to go to bed early. At weekends since I haven’t to work, I go to bed later because I go out with friends or I watch a movie at home at night, for example. But although I go to bed later, I wake up early anyway because I cannot sleep more than 8 hours. Maybe this is because I sleep 8 hours during the week and my body is not used to sleeping more hours. Also I cannot to wake up later from 10am regardless the time I go to bed.

Maybe that is because if they get up earlier, they have much time to make things during the day. But if they get up later, they feel that they spend the day without making anything useful and they can feel awful and depressed in the long.
3. Do you tend to sleep through the night without waking? If not, what usually wakes you up?
I tend to sleep through the night without waking. Sometimes I wake up to go to the bathroom but it is not usual. But it is truth that I open my eyes in the middle of the night several times if I go to bed thinking about several things and being stressed because of anything that happened during the day.
4. In your opinion, what is the main function of sleep? Why do some people need more sleep than others?
In my opinion I think that the main function of sleep is to rest the mind and the body.
Besides, I think the need for sleep is different depending on the people age. For that reason younger people usually need to sleep more than older people.
5. Which do you enjoy more: the silence of night or the calmness of morning? Why?
It depends because when I just wake up, I need calmness during several minutes because if I don’t have it, I get stressed and my humor is getting worse. Also, I enjoy the silence of the night because it calms me down.
6. Have you ever suffered from insomnia? Share your experience.
I have ever suffered from insomnia several nights in a row but sometimes I am going to bed thinking about some concerns and it is difficult for me to get sleep so I start to read a book until I fall asleep.

Great work jumping in on this discussion. Thanks for taking the time.

It depends, in a working day I have to wake up early due to my job, but during the weekends I love to be active until late at night. I guess this mixture of shifts fit perfectly with my needs because at the end of my working days I’m eager to stay active until midnight, whereas at the end of the weekend I always look forward to going to sleep early.

I’ve never slept the whole night at once in normal circumstances. In fact, since I was a child I’ve always woke up to drink some milk, but now that I’m a grown-up my needs have changed and I usually wake up to go to the toilet.

I guess the main function of sleep is to give a rest both to your body and brain, so during the day you can take better decisions and demand more activity to your body. Which do you enjoy more: the silence of night or the calmness of morning? Why?
I definitely prefer the silence of night for two reasons, firstly I live in a crowded area so usually mornings are quite noisy while, on the other hand, I can fully focus on what I’m doing overnight, it’s like my senses are not distracted by my environment.

Have you ever suffered from insomnia? Share your experience.
The truth is that I hardly suffer from insommnia, and if I did, it was only because of personal concerns that worried me briefly. It’s hard to sleep while you’re thinking over and over again about the same problem and then you only fall asleep once the sun was rising.
