1.I think that it is a good idea in theory but in practice you have to consider the disadvantages.
From my point of view, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, so I consider that the DST shouldn’t be used.
2. I agree with the things explained in the article. The only thing that I disagree with it’s the point that says that it costs money because of the decrease in productivity. I think that we have the same productivity all the seasons…
3. My sensations in that days is that I’m very tired and its difficult for me to afford the day, I don’t feel like doing anything… but when I get used to the new time, I really enjoy the fact that we have more hours of sun
1- What’s your take on Daylight Saving Time (DST)?
On the one hand, I think that Daylight Saving Time lets me have more daylight hours. I like to have more daylight hours, that’s why I am in favor of DST.
On the other hand, I see some contras, for example, I have to change the hour on some analogical devices like my car or my wristwatch. These devices don’t have an internet connection and they don’t synchronize with the online time. Besides I don’t like to sleep less hours and in some time changes I sleep an hour less.
2- What are the things mentioned in the article do you agree and disagree with and why?
I agree that longer evenings boost the activities and the tourism. Also I think that with more light there are less accidents (pedestrian fatalities).
I don’t agree with the idea that the DST costs money. For example, the hours of our computer systems, they can be automated without much effort.
I was surprised about the idea that DST can make people sick, I have never heard about that. I think many of these arguments are not because of the DST but they are irremediable.
3- How does DST affect you and your daily routine?
The day of the time change I sleep one hour less or more but It only affects me one day. The worst thing is when I have to change the hour in the car because it is difficult but I think I already learned.
I like to have more daylight in summer, I can enjoy the light and I have the sense that I can do more things and enjoy the day. I had never thinked much about Daylight Saving Time but this name makes sense now to me.
