It means probable. “Students who do not attend their classes are more likely to fail their exams”.

2. What does the word “prolong” mean? Use it in a sentence.

It means extend. “Periodically checking the state of our vehicle can prolong its life”.

In my opinion it is an alarming data. That means, 50% of people do not drink enough, and considering that we need water to survive, it is a too high value.

It might be because they forget to do it, for example kids or old people, or because they cannot access to clean water.

3. What is the importance of drinking water?
Water maintains us alive, cleaning inside our body and helping to eliminate waste by sweating or urinating. It also helps to the digestive, breathing and blood processes. Water gives flexibility to muscles and skin.

4. How does drinking water benefit our health? What are the benefits of drinking water for your mind?
Drinking water maintains us hydrated, in addition to all the benefits the text explains like reducing some diseases, prolonging our life, slowing down our ageing… Drinking water also contributes to the proper functioning of the brain and nerves.

Yes, I do. Years ago I had a kidney disease and since then I am very aware of how much water I drink.
