I think in a big city, like Madrid, where there are many foreign people, is normal that you can found different areas with different restaurants and food. But, for example, in smaller cities and villages, very typical Spanish places, the original restaurants and food is the normal thing. It not normal to find a chinise restaurants in a typical villages where people go there to do Spanish tourism. This could go against the tourim business of the village. The normal thing is that all business go around the idea of potencial the tourism business of the village. And around food, you can find the typical meets, cheese, wine, or others things, that the people want to try and enjoy.

Cheers to more future entries from you!

I think that banning food from other cultures in a historic center of a city may be understandable as a Chinese restaurant in the old town of Rome for example doesn’t fit in very well. However, it would be different if they banned it in an entire city, which could be considered a racist act. Moreover, as it says in the text, many of the ingredients used in Italian traditional foods may come from another country.

In my city there are many foreign food restaurants, especially Turkish, Japanese, Chinese and Italian. I live in a very large and multicultural city so it’s common to see food stalls from other countries. My favorite food is Japanese, although I also like Italian food very much.

Another thing that could be done to preserve traditional food would be to organize specific events from time to time.
