What do you think about corporate team building activities? I n my opinion is a great way to make teams stronger; is an opportunity to know your colleagues in a different scenario, without pressure and enjoying an activity together.
What is your idea of an effective corporate team building? Every single activity that the company could bring the employees help the team to be strong. maybe it could be a mindfulness session together, or a brunch in the office, or maybe playing any kind of game in groups!
Talk about a memorable team building event you’ve ever had: We went to a wine cellar in the north of Spain; they showed us the facilities and explained the process to obtain the wine and finally we enjoyed a marvellous meal including a wine testing. It was awesome and all the people was thankful to the company for this great day!
How is group unity/teamwork encouraged in your company? They offer a lot of activities to join together: Monthly brunch, Halloween activities, team meals or dinners, Christmas event…

I don’t like it, I’m very individualistic persons although I can work without problems in a team, but activities to promote Corporate Team Building, in my opinion, are very artificial.. Maybe this kind of activities are more rooted in the American Culture than our Culture.
2. What are working conditions like in your country?
If you compare the working conditions now to the 20/30 year working condition before and furthermore to 40/50 year before, you can see an completely different scenario… nowadays everything have changed for the better: workday, salary, manners, perks, leaves, etc.
3. Is group unity encouraged in your company?
In our Bank they encourage to work like a team, to discuss, to try with better ideas, to use agile methodology and do that every day and also they promote an fluent communication..
4. What is your idea of an effective corporate team building?
For me it is simple: give to the teams good tools (laptops, rooms, etc), training courses, nice environment to work, promote free speech, blue sky thinking… It is also very important to change from the hierarchical organisation chart to a collaborative organisation chart as a way to solve problems and be efficient

Not at all, people are a part of the company, a very important part, but there are other important assets in Companies like: the products, the top management’s decision, the resiliency to the changes, the planification and the adaptation to the constant changings.
