1. How important is tourism in your country?

Tourism is very important in my country. In Summer Spain is one of the favourite destination of european people.

2. What is the biggest tourist destination in your country?

I think the biggest tourist destination in Spain is Barcelona, because it has a really nice weather, it is in the coast, and of course it’s a lovely place to visit, with all the art and Gaudi’s architecture.

3. What are the benefits of international tourism? Are there any drawbacks?

The principal benefit is the money that people expend in our country, an of course all the people that work because of the toursim. A drawback could be that sometimes tourists come to Spain only to drink and go to parties and some cities like Mallorca or Benidorm are getting uglier and unsafier every day.

4. Do you prefer tourism package tours or do you prefer to plan your own vacations? Why?

I prefer to plan my own vacations because it is more exciting and you can chose all the activities you want. I don’t really like tourism package.

5. Is it better to go to popular tourist destinations or lesser known tourist destinations? Why?

It depends on what are you looking for. Recently I’ve been to Azores Islands and it isn’t a popular place (yet), it was an amazing destination and I enjoyed the quite and the relaxing beaches. However, I also love visiting popular cities like Roma, for example, where there are plenty of art pieces and of course, tourists.

6. Should a government try to improve domestic tourism or try to attract international tourists instead? Why?

I think that the best thing would be having both. Sometimes we visit far places and we don’t know the beauty around us.

7. What’s the best way to travel when you visit a country? Train, car, bicycle, bus?

It depends on which city are you visiting. Amsterdam, for example is ideal to visit in bicycle. I do prefer to walk and see closely all the city places.

8. If you could create a tourism slogan for your country, what would it be?

“The city of grey eyes”

9. What’s the best way for a country to bring in more tourists?

First of all, taking care of the city, keeping the city clean and modern. Then, of coures, doing some marketing campeings.

10. How do you feel about tourists who visit your country?

I think it’s nice having tourists that enjoy our city. They use to be very polite and the seem to have a great time here.
