Discussion Questions:
1. What are your thoughts on these protests?
My thoughts about these protests are that the protests are totally logical because is too much time living in quarantine, and despite now the government wants to reduce the days of quarantine and companies like Apple improving other measures such as better salaries for workers, people consider that is not enough to Chinese people over the country.
2. What is your opinion on the labor conditions of Apple’s factory workers in China?
I think, that could be better for Apple’s factory workers, in spite of the company promising a huge sum of money for workers up to 3.500$, finally, this amazing salary just would be earned for workers starting in the third month of work, then the two previous months, they would have to work for a less quantity of money.
3. What is your opinion on China still having tough Covid restrictions until now?
Is a piece of evidence that over the years China has been a much-taxing Country in regards to the conditions and measures to the people and freedoms. Historically Governments have been more taxing than liberals or plenty of freedom. And in front of the pandemic, they aren’t able too much different than the years before. Since the pandemic began Chinese Government imposed tough restrictions on the country and specifically in the cities or regions more affected by Covid 19. And differentiated from other countries Chinese Government has been less open at the time to open borders or reduce their tough restrictions.
