1. No, my country doesn’t have issues with the blood supply. Sometimes there can be issues with the supply but it’s not common.
2. All blood donations should be screened for infections prior to use. Screening for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and syphilis should be mandatory. Blood screening should be performed according to quality system requirements.
3. Individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria:
18 years of age, weigh more than 50 kg. Women can donate to 3 times per year and men 4 times per year. Pass a medical interview and inform about your treatments and diseases.
