What’s the Point of Blood Types?

I don’t think we are consciously aware of why we have different types of blood. For some cultures, it could be a determiner of how you possess your personality.

Scientifically, our blood types are most likely to exist to fend off some infectious diseases such as the one that the world is currently facing. They say that the one that defines blood types are the genes that were inherited.

Discussion Questions:

  2. How important is it to know our blood types? How does knowing it been helpful to you so far?
  3. Are different blood types related to different personalities? Support your stand.
  4. When did you know your blood type? What was the situation you were in that led to you knowing your blood type?

1. Yes, I am stubborn, but I think that is mere coincidence. I don’t believe it is because of my blood and also, all people is stubborns to some degree.
2. It is important if you need a blood transfusion, it can be the difference between life or death. For now, I never needed a transfusion, so it hasn’t been helpful for now.
3. I don’t know, my believe is that blood type doesn’t mean anything. There are only 3 types of blood, but a lot more of personality features shown by people, in all imaginable combinations so we cannot be classified in 3 main kind of personalities.
4. I know it since I was a child, because my mother told me. She said that was important in case of accident.
5. There is no beliefs related to blood type in my country (Spain), the only known is that the O-type is the universal donator.
