Adidas’ three stripes is their trademark. They will fight against any other companies who will try to use or have something similar to their logo.

Recently, they were in a legal dispute with U.S. fashion brand Thom Browne for using a four-stripe logo, which looks a lot like that of Adidas’ three stripes.

1) In my opinion, the law is right and it’s imposible that a trademark has a global and unlimited power to forbid similar logos.
2) In other side, in my opinion, it’s wrong and may be forbiden to profite a consolidated and globally knows trademark to have your public because in marketing, the first eye is the 90% of ideas in mind.
3) yes, I agree, it’s difficult to any consumer to distinguish a trademark by the context you are see it .
4) the trademark are important for brands because with it is easy to recognise the quality probed in a consolidated manufacturer.
5) about my company’s trademark, it’s just a easy way to identify a consolidated and tested manufacturer, with a work recognised. If other manufacturer has a similar trademark, our clients may be confused and, if the product quality of second manufacturer is less than our quality, it will be our company who will be affected negatively.
