Green burial is an eco-friendly burial. It emphasizes simplicity and sustainability. The body is neither cremated nor prepared with chemicals such as embalming fluids. It is simply placed in a biodegradable coffin and interred. The grave site is allowed to return to nature when the body decomposes and naturally return to the soil.

What do you think of green burials? How is it different from the conventional burials?
Well, I didn’t hear about them before. I didn’t know they exist. However, it could be a nice way to reduce the impact that we are producing in the environment. We are producing pollution during all our lifes: we use cars, we change our mobile phone every 2-3 years, we don’t reuse things, we buy a lot of clothes that we don’t need, we use plastic bottles… For sure, it is a very good action to ask for a green burial because, at least, the last thing that we will do won’t pollute and we will be giving back our bodies to the nature.
What are some reasons people choose this? Would you consider this option for you and for your loved ones?
They are more ecological than the traditional ones. From my point of view, I would consider this option. Not only for me but also for my family. It would be nice to go on a walk in the countryside and see some trees growing in the place where some relative is buried. I mean, to be honest, I never go to the graveyard and I have the feeling that we should remember our relatives and think about them every day. It doesn’t make sense to me to go to the cemetery and put some flowers once a month or a year…
In comparison to conventional burials, what are the benefits and drawbacks of natural burials?
They are more ecological and, from my point of view, they allows you to come back to nature and reduce your impact in the environment. However, I didn’t understand if it is cheaper than a traditional one, but if it is, it has a lot of advantages!

From my point of view this is a very serious topic.
Not all is valid in a burial, it depends about the person or family.
Religious people maybe can think this is offensive.
It is different because you can save the ambient and the world and in my opinion lose your dignity as human being. You must focus in other stuff if you want to save the world and protect the environment.
Related about contamination I think green burial it is not enough, there are many other topics that can be fixed before. (Nuclear plants, huge industries, reutilize, reuse,recycle)
Of course realted to this topic I am agree with cremation burial, but I am not agree with the concept of green burial.

I think the main reason is save the earth, with less contamination. Also save money for the family.
In my opinion I am sorry but I will never consider this option for anyone, looks fine as a theorical concept. Practical concept is not enough.

Natural burials maintain the religious concept live.
Respect the duel of the family involved.
Provide job to the community.

Green burials are less aggressive with the environment than traditional burials and cremations, because not chemical products are used. And the process is more hands-on, it allows family members to participate more actively in the burial.

People are getting more interested in green burials because they are more environmentally friendly, they don´t hurt earth. I´d never though about my burial, but after have seen this article I´m totally convinced of that´s the best option for my end life.

I don´t think there are drawbacks in any case. It´s the more natural way of burial, similar to animals´ end of life. I can understand that other people prefer traditional burial or cremation, but I think that in the future this option is going to achieve more and more acceptance.

During our whole life, we produce a big amount of pullution. Even in the moment of passing away. In my opion, green burials are a good way to reduce our impact on the enviroment.
This kind of burials are by far the cleaner and safer method of bury. They pruduce cero chemical waste and pollution.
2.What are some reasons people choose this? Would you consider this
option for you and for your loved ones?
First of all, this method of bury eliminates the formaldehide pollution. This chemo is really harmfull for the enviroment and for the people who works with it. In addition, green burials allow the relatives to be involvedin the process in a way that helps them to cope with the lost of the loved one in a more human way.
Nevertheless, I would not consider a green burial for my loved ones unless we have agreeded it previosly. It can sound nonesense to many people, but for me it is very important to respect the last will of the person.
If it is possible in my country, I will choose a green burial for me.
3.In comparison to conventional burials, what are the benefits and drawbacks of natural burials?
The benefits in enviromental terms are obviuos: less chemical pollution and less waste.
A possible drawback can be the avaylability of cementeries with this option. In case you don’t have a green cementery close to your house, you shold have to move close to one before dying, like the Dr. in the video. But the death is an unforeseable event in most of cases.
