By definition, hierarchy is a way of organizing people, in which people or groups are ranked one above the other according to status or authority. When is hierarchy bad and when is it not?

We can observe similarities between the human workplace and the chicken’s pecking order, that is, when everyone is equal, productivity is high,but as soon as there are hierarchies, productivity worsens because the manager interferes the work of the workers. The best hierarchy is the one that is created naturally, without impositions and the worst is the force one.
